Organizers of the Court Street market have two big markets scheduled for this month, one on December 5 and another on December 19.
“ This Sunday’s market will be from 12 to 6 p.m. and 12 to 8 p.m. on the 19th,” Nadine Dillas, one of the event’s organizers, said. “ We will have entertainment, caroling, members of various churches will be performing. We encourage the whole family to come out and participate.”
According to Ms. Dillas, several Court Street store merchants will be having special sales as well and any purchase over $25 will be automatically be entered into a prize drawing, with the grand prize being a brand new T.V.
“ We also have a PlayStation in a separate [drawing],” she said. “ For people who are interested in the PlayStation, they can come around and get some information about that.”
Market vendors will also be offering instant prizes for anyone who buys anything, regardless of how much money they spend.
“ We don’t want to have anyone feel left out, but we want everyone to win something,” Ms. Dillas said. “ We have prizes to give away to just about anyone so that people can feel good and not left out.”
She encourages everyone to support Bermuda and Bermudians at the market, and enjoy themselves at the same time.
In addition to the Sunday vendors’ market, Court Street businesses will be staying open later on the weekends as the Christmas season gets closer. ———————————————————————————————-
