The Ministry of Health is reminding residents that the Pfizer-BioNTech original Adult formulation, Moderna Bivalent and Pfizer-BioNTech paediatric coronavirus vaccine and boosters are available through participating GP offices, Pharmacies and Pediatricians.
Minister of Health, Kim Wilson, JP, MP, said, “Our positive case numbers remain low; however, getting vaccinated has many benefits. You can avoid getting seriously ill and being hospitalised. This is especially important if new variants emerge.
“Vaccination is recognised globally as one of the most important measures individuals can take to protect themselves, their loved ones and their community. Contact your GP or participating pharmacies to get the vaccine.”
Vaccines are offered to Bermuda’s residents who meet the following criteria:
- Patients aged 5 to 11 years old are eligible for a 1st or 2nd dose only. The time between doses must be at least 21 days.
- Patients aged 12 and above are eligible for 1st, 2nd or 3rd dose. The time between the 1st and 2nd dose must be at least 21 days. The time between the 2nd dose and 3rd dose booster must be at least 5 months.
- Residents 50 years or older, and immunocompromised residents are eligible for a 4th or subsequent dose of the COVID-19 vaccine provided their 3rd dose or previous dose was at least 5 months ago.
- Health and essential care workers are eligible for a 4th or subsequent dose of the COVID-19 vaccine provided their 3rd dose or previous dose was at least 5 months ago
