Concerns As Burt’s Government Appears To Be Falling Apart Says Michael Dunkley

In an exclusive interview with TNN a short while ago, outgoing Minister of National Security Rene Ming, JP, MP set the record straight that she resigned as Minister and was not relieved of her duties by Premier Burt, as was reported by some local media sources.
Former Premier and Shadow Minister for National Security Michael Dunkley, JP, MP, said that a resignation by a Cabinet Minister such a short time after the resignation of former Finance Minister Curtis Dickinson, JP, MP, is very concerning and indicates that Premier Burt’s circle is getting smaller and smaller and partisan and party politics appears to be getting in the way of properly running the country.
“ It appears in this case, just as with the former Finance Minister, there was some misleading going on,” Mr. Dunkley said.
“ The past week has certainly been a rocky one for the Premier and [Government] needs to get their act together, because Bermuda faces some perilous times and we cannot get down in the depths of party politics.
It will lead to people becoming distracted and we cannot be distracted if we want to get out of the situation we find ourselves in [economically].”
