Paul Wilmot has been officially announced as the representative for Constituency 27 by the ruling Progressive Labour Party (PLP) ahead of the next general election.
With deep roots in the Warwick community, Wilmot is stepping into the political arena at a critical time, following the endorsement of the outgoing Col. David Burch, In an interview with TNN’s Trevor Lindsay, Wilmot shared his thoughts on key issues facing the area, particularly around crime, education, and community unity.
Paul Wilmot prepares to take over a leadership position, related to local government or community engagement, particularly within the Warwick neighborhood.
He’s expressing gratitude for the support from his parents John and Brenda Wilmot my entire family and the outgoing C27 representative Col. The Hon. David Buch, and the backing of the party, along with a strong commitment to addressing community concerns such as crime and education.
Wilmot highlights the need for unity, peace, and dialogue to tackle issues like gun violence, especially among young black men, emphasizing that the country is too small to be divided by such problems.
I’m looking for a way out for our young men of that lifestyle, and further refine or develop there skill set, consider adding more concrete steps or solutions that Wilmot plans to implement to address these challenges in Warwick.
