Car Goes Down Eastdale Lane Embankment

An early morning road traffic incident on Eastdale Lane in Southampton caused an unorthodox start to Heroes’ Day for a couple of area residents. An eyewitness to the incident spoke with TNN’s Trevor Lindsay on what they saw and heard.

They do not know exactly how the accident occured, but were awakened by screaming.
“ A car ended up down the embankment and there were three people involved in the incident,” the witness said.

“ Two people told me that one was trapped underneath a car, so I got a flashlight from my house to try and find that third person. Thankfully, they were not trapped under the car.”

The person who was found by the railing was unconscious but still breathing and the ambulance took them and another person involved to King Edward Memorial Hospital. The witness does not know where the other person involved went.

According to the witness, the people involved looked anywhere between their mid-20s and early-30s.

“ I hope and pray that the person pulls through, but it just did not look too good at the time,” they said.

TNN await a full updated report on this serious Road Traffic Collision from The BPS media relation office.
