The Department of Public Transportation (DPT) has announced that effective immediately, Route 1 and Route 3 have reopened for DPT buses. All trench work has been temporarily suspended on Shark Hole Hill and Harrington Sound Road/Harrington Hundreds Road intersection.
The open trenches have been filled and paved, making it safe for DPT buses to use them. Once trenching resumes, DPT will monitor the road works and advise the public of further detours.
Routes 1 and 3 have resumed normal service today per the published schedule. Tomorrow and Friday are public holidays; all routes will operate on the holiday schedule.
