Bus Operators and Health Team Have Not Reach Agreement

On Sunday morning, the executive team of the Bermuda Industrial Union (BIU) held their second meeting with the management and health and safety team. They came to the following resolutions:

There will be a deep cleaning of the entire Department of Public Transport facility, After being swept and fueled, all buses will be sprayed down at pumps,
There will be a second person sanitizing buses at the terminal,
A bus sanitizer will stay until after the last bus leaves at 11:45 p.m.,

All bus services will use a Sunday scheduled until a date to be determined and there is also no confirmed date or time as to when the service will open.

When it becomes possible to book and secure testing appointments, all employees are allowed to leave the job and get tested and staying home to await their results will be permitted if there is proof of their appointment. Anyone who does not feel well is strongly encouraged to stay home.
