BPO Commemorative Stamp Presentation to the Governor

Earlier yesterday (June 22), Minister of Tourism and the Cabinet Office,Vance Campbell presented Her Excellency the Governor, Ms Rena Lalgie with a framed portrait of the Bermuda Post Office’s (BPO) latest Commemorative Stamp. The framed image depicts His Majesty, King Charles III.

As the public will recall, King Charles III was crowned on May 6th at Westminster Abbey. This was the first Coronation in the UK in nearly 70 years.

In honour of the occasion, the Bermuda Post Office commissioned a Commemorative Stamp series. The special edition stamps are now available at the BPO, and prices range from $6.00 for the souvenir sheets, to $7.00 for the First Day Covers. Orders can also be placed online at https://philatelic.bermudapost.bm/.

Yesterday’s presentation coincides with the Her Excellency’s hosting of this evening’s annual Government House Garden Party to celebrate the 75th Birthday of His Majesty the King.
