Body of Chavelle Dillon-Burgess Still not Found After Two Years
April 11, 2020 was the last day when young mother Chavelle Dillon-Burgess’ family or friends had ever heard from her, and it was not even in-person, but via text. Ms. Dillon-Burgess was formally declared missing on April 30, 2020 and to this date, almost two years later, she is
still considered missing and her remains have still not been found.
On March 1 of last year, lawyer Kamal Worrell was formally charged with her murder and is currently awaiting a Supreme Court trial.
According to Acting Detective-Inspector Jason Smith, there is still a large amount of reward money for anyone in the public who could help the police find her remains.
Despite this, according to Mr. Smith, the BPS have not gotten as much support from members of the public in
this matter as they initially hoped.
“ Once the BPS were made aware that Ms. Dillon-Burgess was missing, we sprung into action and commenced our investigation, which is still ongoing to this day,” Mr. Smith said.
“ The investigation is still active until the trial matter is finished.” Acting Detective-Inspector Jason Smith emphasizes Ms. Dillon-Burgess is still missing and finding her is now a priority, so any assistance from the public at all in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
