BMHF Partners with CG Insurance to Offer Platinum Level Program for Mindful Employers

Bermuda Mental Health Foundation (BMHF) and CG Insurance (CG), a leader in Insurance, Group Health, Pensions and Wellness have joined forces to further promote and enhance the BMHF’s Mindful Employer Certification (MEC) Program by introducing a new Platinum Level to the existing 3-tier program.

The MEC Program seeks to support companies that prioritize mental health in the workplace. It provides employers with a tangible way to demonstrate their commitment to their staff’s mental wellness through a grading system, certificates, and badges.

Employers are assessed against a set of key standards aimed at fostering a mentally healthy workplace. Through this assessment, employers have had the opportunity to reach the bronze, silver or gold level of the program. With this CG partnership, employers can now reach the Platinum level of the program provided at least 10% of their managers complete CG’s Mindful Leader Training Program. The Mindful Leader Program is a 6-week program that introduces mindfulness practices in an accessible format.

The program covers a range of topics that support developing resilience, well-being, work-life balance, and
reducing stress in work and life. By practicing mindfulness, employees can develop focus and awareness, greater ability to respond rather than react in the present moment, and healthier ways of engaging in the challenging experiences they face.

“We are delighted to partner with CG to offer our Mindful Employer Certification (MEC) Program at the Platinum Level,” said BMHF Chairperson, James MacDonald. “The partnership with CG represents a significant step towards promoting and supporting mental wellness and mindfulness in the workplace and in Bermuda in general. We believe that this new initiative will provide employers with the tools and resources to foster a mentally healthy workplace for their employees.”

“We believe that true wellness encompasses not just physical fitness, but also mental well-being. By partnering to provide mental health services through CG’s Zest Wellness Program, we aim to prioritize the holistic health of our participants. Mental health is
the foundation upon which a person’s overall well-being is built. We recognize the importance of addressing mental health challenges and providing the necessary support, resources, and guidance” said Naz Farrow, CEO, CG Insurance. “Through this partnership, we are committed to fostering a culture of compassion, understanding, and resilience, empowering individuals to
thrive in all aspects of their lives.

Together, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a community that embraces and supports the mental well-being of every individual.” Employers who are interested in hearing more about the Mindful Employer Certification Program can visit the BMHF website for more information.
