After two cancelled race days due to inclement weather the BDA Motocross Association finally got the green light to resume racing after 4 weeks off.
The track was in pristine condition and the riders were ready to put on a show during their 52nd Anniversary celebration and St John’s Ambulance Appreciation Day at Bermuda Motorsports Park.
There were several dominant displays with 6 riders placing 1st in all three of their motos.
In the PeeWee class, Ade Stovell held off a persistent Maddox Seymour Durham to take class honours for the day with Malakai Dill rounding up the top 3.
Consistency prevailed for King Clarke as he saw his three 2nd place finishes put him on the top step, a mechanical issue in Moto 1 for points leader Kody Paul had him settle for second. Cassidy Spencer Furbert looked promising returning from injury to secure 3rd place.
In the 65CC class, Mazai Tucker continued his strong display of riding to stay on top of the class, with Tinho Tucker-Wall following behind in second.
In the highly competitive 85cc class 3 moto wins for Ajahni Foggo sends a warning to the points leaders on his return from injury. The everpresent Azai Burt had three second-place finishes and Anyuri Persaud rounded out the podium places in third.
Ahlierre Beloquet recorded her first 3 career wins going 1-1-1 on the day after some feisty batting with Nyla Goodchild who finished 3rd. Xao Coddington was able to secure 2nd place.
In a packed Novice class, Aiden Simmons rode mostly uncontested to take the top spot, but the surprise of the day came from Dillian Carrierro who grabbed second place after returning from a lengthy hiatus. Youngster Deige Paynter worked hard to finish up in third.
The over-30s class saw Lorenzo Burch triumph with his three moto wins. Willem Vermuelen found himself in 2nd place, and Ronald Trott held on for third after a hard fall in moto 2.
In the always exciting Expert class, Allen “LJ” Degraff was flying around the track as he led wire to wire in all three motos, while being pursued by runner up Zico Majors with Arron Cannonier rounding out the standings in third.
