Hamilton, Bermuda — Bargain hunters are in for a treat this week as the Bermuda Group of Companies (BGA) hosts a massive warehouse clear-out sale in the parking lot of the Berkeley Institute School field — and the turnout has been nothing short of impressive.
TNN News spoke with Alatunji Tucker, BGA’s Marketing Manager, who shared the vision behind the event.
“One of the big things people should know about BGA is that we’re very community-focused,” said Taka. “We met as a team and asked, ‘How can we do something special for the community?’ So we decided to offer crazy prices on everyday items to help people save money, especially during the summer.”
The sale, which kicked off early this morning, drew a large crowd with lines forming before dawn. Shoppers are flocking to score deep discounts on a wide range of products including household cleaners, toiletries, pet supplies, paper goods, and even seasoning products.
Among the items available:
- Bounty and Renova paper towels
- Dishwashing liquid and bleach
- Hand sanitizers
- Kitty litter and cat food
- Maggie seasoning products
- Kit-Kat chocolate bars
- Name-brand body washes and more
Taka emphasized that all items are fresh and high-quality, dismissing any concerns about expiration dates.
“This is all fresh stock. Good stuff, and it’s ready to go,” he affirmed.
Prices start as low as $1 and $2, with some bulk cases — normally valued at over $100 — being sold for just $10 to $20. Taka even mentioned he’d personally purchased a name-brand body wash for only $10, a fraction of its usual retail price.
The sale will run until 2:00 p.m. today or while supplies last, and judging by the turnout, items are expected to go quickly.
“It’s exciting,” Taka added. “It’s about giving back, having fun, and making sure our community benefits from great deals.”
