Bermudians encouraged to apply for Bursary Awards

The Bermuda Government continues to take the lead in investing in our people and our future by supporting Bermuda’s young people in their educational and career journeys.

To that end, Government is currently accepting applications for the 2024 Public Service Bursary Award Scheme. The Bursary Awards identifies qualified individuals who will meet the future needs of Government Departments by seeking to attract individuals in specialized areas, in often ‘hard to fill posts’ who will play a pivotal role in the Public Service.

“The Public Service remains committed to attracting and developing the best and brightest talent in Bermuda,” said the Head of the Public Service, Cherie Whitter. “The Bermuda Government’s Bursary Awards programme provides funding and recognition to exceptional individuals who have demonstrated dedication, determination, and potential in academic courses that align with the future needs of the Service. We are looking for individuals who are seeking a diverse, dynamic and meaningful career in the public service, and we are encouraging interested young people to apply for this year’s Bursary Awards.”

The deadline for applications is April 26, 2024.

Bursaries are valued at $20,000 per annum; not exceeding five (5) years.

Applicants are being sought for the following posts:

  • Associate Management Services Partner
  • Valuer
  • Policy Analyst
  • Government Analyst
  • Environmental Health Officer
  • Management Accountant
