Last evening, April 23, members of Bermuda’s Carifta Track & Field team returned home to a proud and heartfelt welcome at LF Wade International Airport.
The athletes, fresh from their performances at the Carifta Games, were greeted by family, friends, and the Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, the Hon. Owen Darrell, JP, MP, who was on hand to personally welcome them and offer his congratulations.
Minister Darrell praised the young athletes for their dedication and achievement, saying: “These young Bermudians have not only demonstrated exceptional athletic ability, but also the heart, discipline, and pride that it takes to represent our island on the regional stage.
We are immensely proud of what they have accomplished.”
