Bermuda Women blitz Cayman 67-32

The Bermuda Women’s rugby team put on a dazzling offensive display, running in 10 tries to rout the Cayman Islands 67-32 in a 99-point spectacle at the National Sports Center.

Bermuda set the tempo early, shredding the Cayman defence with speed and slick passing, with the visitors simply unable to keep up with the relentless onslaught.

Player-of-the-match Najee Pitt-Clarke carved up the visitors for a hat-trick of tries, while Cat Morris and Heidi Groves each bagged a brace, relentless thorns in Cayman’s side.

Bermuda’s bench delivered too, as Sarah Cross, Lysmeire Santana, Camille Chin-Gurret, and Akila Craig all dotted down, proving the final score to have been the result of a full-team performance.

Additionally, Santana slotted four conversions, with Groves and Cross also chipping in to slam the door shut.

Cayman punished a few defensive lapses by the home side to notch 32, but simply had no answer for Bermuda’s firepower.
