The first cruise ship of the year arrived in Bermuda yesterday. The Spirit of Discovery, arrived at Heritage Wharf at 8 am yesterday morning and is scheduled to depart at 7 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce as part of the Cruise Ship Activations organized entertainment to welcome the guests upon arrival, with guitarist Desmond Smith entertaining the passengers for two hours from 8 am outside the Heritage Wharf Terminal.
Minister of Transport, Wayne Furbert said, “We extend a warm Bermudian welcome to all crew and guests aboard the Spirit of Discovery. We are delighted to share the beauty and culture of our island with our visitors and wish them a memorable stay.”
Onboard, the Spirit of Discovery carries 507 crew members, with 879 guests. Among the guests, 520 have opted for exciting pre-arranged tours that showcase the best of Bermuda’s land and water attractions.
This visit marks the ship’s arrival from its last port in Miami. After departing Bermuda, the Spirit of Discovery will set sail towards its next destination, Horta, Azores.
