BERMUDA RECORDS 6TH ROAD TRAFFIC FATALITY OF 2023 POLICE APPEAL FOR WITNESSES

Shortly before 7:10 p.m. on Saturday, 10th June, 2023, Police and other first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle, near the junction of North Shore Road and Dock Hill, Devonshire.

It was reported that a motorcycle was travelling east on North Shore Road, Devonshire, just east of the junction with Dock Hill, when the rider, a 38-year-old male, lost control of the vehicle and collided with a wall. He was thrown over the wall on impact and down an embankment.

He sustained a serious head injury and was attended to at the scene by EMTs. He was subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The area of the collision was closed off to vehicular traffic for approximately three hours while the scene was processed by Traffic Collision Investigators and the Forensic Support Unit.

An investigation has begun into this, the sixth fatal road traffic collision for the year 2023. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to call the main police number 295-0011.
