Bermuda Public Schools Celebrates School Counselors During National School Counseling Week

The Department of Education is joining school districts in North America to mark National School Counseling Week this week.

Celebrated annually during the first week of February, National School Counseling Week aims to focus attention on the unique contribution of school counselors to the Bermuda Public School System, and the impact these professionals have on the students.

School counselors work with all students to remove barriers to learning by addressing students’ academic concerns, social/emotional skills, and career options.

“National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career,” said Commissioner of Education Kalmar Richards.

“This week, please join us in saying thank you to our School Counselors for helping all students within each school they serve to succeed!”
