Also, in May, Dage competed in the Battle Road Track Club’s Twilight Series Meet 1 at Bentley University in Massachusetts, crossing the line 3rd in the 800 metres.
The elite athlete is a 6x NCAA All-American and Indoor 1000-meter National Record Holder. Minors has represented Bermuda at CAC Games, NACAC Championships, and the Pan American Games.
Dr. Ewart Brown, BHCS Executive Chairman, stated, “We at Bermuda HealthCare Services are delighted to present our Elite Athlete Award to Dage Minors. We have followed him over the years and believe his best results are yet to come.”
Mr. Minors has a BSc in Sports and Recreation Management and an MBA in Leadership from Franklin Pierce University. He holds the record as the most decorated athlete in the program’s history.
Dage Minors was an assistant coach with the Franklin Pierce University cross country and track and field programs until 2020. The 26-year-old is now a para-educator at Sandy’s Secondary Middle School.
Dr. Brown concluded, “In these days of self-destruction by young Black men, it is refreshing to see a young man like Dage Minors working to strengthen his mind and body.”
