Bermuda join forces in Relief supply’s for Jamaica

Bermuda Community business partners come together to assist hurricane-ravaged Jamaica following the catastrophic impact of Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm that devastated parts of the island.

Several local business leaders, including the BermudAir, the Government of Bermuda and the Caines brothers, as well as members of Bermuda’s wider business community, to launch a humanitarian relief drive.

The initiative is focused on collecting essential supplies such as batteries, lights, clothing, water, and other emergency items to be shipped to Jamaica in the coming week. Here’s what Dwayne Caines had to say about the effort.

In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, Bermuda is joining together to support Jamaica through a humanitarian relief flight made possible by the generosity of BermudAir.

This united effort reflects the spirit of compassion and solidarity that defines Bermuda—neighbors helping neighbors in times of crisis. The initiative aims to provide critical aid to families and communities as they begin the long journey of recovery and rebuilding.
