Bermuda Dance Academy Shines at Adrenaline Dance in Chicago

Bermuda Dance Academy, a leading dance school, showcased its excepBonal talent and arBstry at the presBgious Adrenaline Dance ConvenBon and CompeBBon held in Chicago, IL, from February 8th to 12th, 2024.

The academy’s NaBonal Performance Team, comprising nine dancers, three teachers, and 13 family members, delivered outstanding performances and achieved remarkable success at the event.

Under the guidance and leadership of Owner, Head Teacher, and Choreographer Nikia Manders, Bermuda Dance Academy’s dancers, teachers, and parents collaborated to ensure the academy’s resounding success at the compeBBon.

The NaBonal Performance Team’s excepBonal performances gathered accolades, with rouBnes earning scores ranging from High Gold to PlaBnum across all categories. CompeBng against numerous schools from the Chicago area, some of which brought up to 200 dancers, Bermuda Dance Academy’s talent and dedicaBon stood out, earning well-deserved recogniBon.

Score: PlaBnum (highest scoring dance of the compeBBon)

Sanziniah Raynor’s outstanding performance also led to her selecBon to perform in the City Crew and receive a Video Crew scholarship. AddiBonally, Yannick Rochester, Tessanne Williams, Riley Evans, and Aviya Mills were awarded Single ConvenBon scholarships for the upcoming season.

Our young talent Aviya Mills, aged 6, parBcipated in the convenBon and received a scholarship to a\end next year, demonstraBng the academy’s commitment to nurturing emerging dancers. Bermuda Dance Academy extends its heargelt graBtude to the supporBve teachers and choreographers – Ashley Smith and Shawnae Brangman, parents who a\ended the trip, office manager Linda Manders and director of transport Maquel Bailey. The enBre delegaBon had an incredible experience and created many wonderful memories.
