training room at the BEDC Main office at 48 Church Street, 1st Floor Sofia House. The event
attracted over 30 attendees.
The seminar was designed to guide aspiring entrepreneurs through the essential steps of
registering a business in Bermuda. Attendees received comprehensive insights into the entire
process, from application to ensuring compliance, including how to correctly apply for
business registration, avoid common pitfalls, and understand key documents.
Participants also learned about the types of insurance needed to protect their businesses and
ensure compliance. The seminar provided a clear overview of the tax responsibilities that
business owners need to manage. This holistic approach ensured that attendees left with a
well-rounded understanding of the registration process.
Attendees benefited from the expert guidance from experienced professionals who offered
practical advice and answered questions. The event also served as a valuable networking
opportunity, allowing attendees to connect with other entrepreneurs and business leaders
on the same journey. A light lunch was provided, ensuring attendees could make the most of
their time while they learned.
Donte Hunt, Director of MSME at BEDC, emphasized the importance of this event: “This Lunch & Learn is an excellent opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain the knowledge and tools they need to register their businesses successfully. Our goal is to simplify the process
and provide comprehensive support to ensure their success.”
