AXA XL announces promotion of Kareen Richardson to Head of Healthcare, Bermuda

AXA XL announced the promotion of Kareen Richardson to Head of Healthcare in its Bermuda
Insurance Excess Casualty business.
Ms Richardson, who has more than 27 years of experience in the insurance industry in both casualty/healthcare underwriting and broking roles, is responsible fordeveloping, implementing and driving strategies of AXA XL’s Bermuda InsuranceHealthcare underwriting unit. Shereports to Head
of Excess Casualty BermudaVivienne Moniz.

 

Ms Richardsonbegan her insurance careerin the Claims Departmentof what was then XL Insurance (Bermuda) Ltd. She later worked as a Technical Assistant in the Casualty UnderwritingDepartment
and subsequentlyhas held progressively senior industry roles.This includes AssistantVice President, Healthcare Underwriter at Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd., Senior Vice President, Bermuda Operations Manager/Team Leader and Senior HealthcarePlacement Manager at Integro Insurance Brokers.

She returned to AXA XL in 2019 as Vice President, Senior Underwriterin the Excess Casualty Department.

Ms Richardson is a Founding Committee Member of the Bermuda Healthcare Forum and an Education Committee Member of the Bermuda ASHRM chapter. She was named “Power
Broker of the Year” in Healthcare by Risk & Insurance magazine in 2015.
