Bermuda — Police presence was heightened in the Middletown area this week as authorities moved in with a high-visibility operation that led to the arrest of an another suspect in connection with the deadly shooting at Legends Bar.
The Bermuda Police Service confirmed that out of the four individuals initially sought in this ongoing murder investigation, two have now been taken into custody. The search continues for the remaining two suspects, who have been on the run since the night of the incident.
As previously reported, the violent event unfolded last Thursday night when four armed gunmen stormed into Legends Bar, opening fire. The attack left two people a male and female dead and three others injured, shaking the Somerset community to its core.
Over the past eight days, police have been actively pursuing leads and conducting targeted operations in connection with the case. Today’s arrest marks significant progress, but authorities stress that the investigation is far from over.
The public is urged to come forward with any information that could assist in locating the two remaining suspects.
“Anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately by calling 911 or the main police number at 295-0011,” a police spokesperson stated. “We also remind the public that it is a criminal offense to harbor individuals being sought in a murder investigation. Doing so could result in serious legal consequences.”
