TNN understands the Bermuda Police Service is investigating an alleged death threat made against the Commissioner of the Bermuda Police Service also in the same investigation It is alleged that a suspected Police Sergeant is under investigation for sending intimidating and threatening messages to the Commissioner of the Bermuda Police Service and other members of the BPS.
TNN sought a response from the BPS media relations department and Police Commissioner Steven Corbishley to these allegations, in reply this statement was issued.
A police spokesperson stated: “ It is not the BPS’ policy to comment on current and ongoing investigations. “
Police Seize Multiple Drug Shipments
In another police matter word coming to TNN suggesting the police service seized a large shipments of drugs in two out of three major operations within the last week.
TNN understand that a large quantities of what is believed to be heroin from an individual coming to Bermuda from England via British Airways were seized last week, and in another police operation based on an investigation in St. David’s last week, we understand that cocaine and marijuana were seized from an area resident.
TNN understands via reliable sources that police was tipoff that drugs were being smuggled in new vehicles coming off the Hamilton Docks. The police raid was seen via Facebook social media on a Hamilton car dealership parking lot location. TNN is unsure at present if drugs were seized in any of the vehicles during this operation.
