Today Saturday (February 15), residents in Devonshire North West are encouraged to attend a Community Clinic for constituency 14 residents at the Prospect Primary school field to meet their Progressive Labour Party’s (PLP) chosen candidate, Ms. Alexa Lightbourne.
The event will be a social engagement aimed at providing an opportunity for area residents to directly speak to the candidate and learn more about what she seeks to do on their behalf.
Since her announcement on January 24th as the PLP representative for Devonshire North West, Ms. Lightbourne has been actively engaging with hundreds of residents, going from door to door, listening and discussing their views and concerns.
And this weekend, Ms. Lightbourne said she wants to speak and meet with as many residents, famlies, young people, seniors, businesses, community and sports organisations as possible within the Constituency 14.
Ms. Lightbourne said, “It’s been such a privilege these past few weeks to be on the doorstep, meeting constituents and sharing more about who I am and how I wish to serve. Everyone I have encountered has been so welcoming and definitely has much to say.”
“Every conversation, every handshake, every shared concern fuels my passion to serve. Representing the residents of Devonshire North West isn’t just a duty, it’s a calling.
””I’ve spent time at the Devonshire Recreation Club engaging with members, attended church services and community events for our seniors, and now I want to welcome them to my open-door clinic for an afternoon of fun and conversation. I’m dedicated to working with everyone in the constituency to ensure every voice is heard.”
Ms. Lightbourne, a Dock Hill native and proud Bermudian, has emphasised her dedication to serving the community and connecting with residents to understand their needs further.
