Last year in May of 2023, Age Concern partnered with The Department of Energy to distribute over 500 LED light bulbs to Bermuda’s ageing population. Since then, we have had many requests to host a second giveaway of light bulbs.
In an effort to alleviate the burden felt by Bermuda’s older adults, Age Concern Bermuda is delighted to announce a special giveback from the generosity of The Department of Energy again to distribute FREE LED light bulbs to residents aged 50 and over. This giveaway will take place at Age Concern Bermuda’s head office located at 24 Admiralty Lane, Pembroke on the following dates and times:
Over the past year, Age Concern has provided approximately $10,000 in hardship assistance for BELCO bills. The initiative aims to promote energy efficiency and support our older population by providing LED light bulbs, which are known for their long-lasting and energy-saving benefits. We aim to assistfamilies in Bermuda to lower their electricity bill. This effort is part of Age Concern Bermuda’s ongoing commitment to enhance the quality of life for seniors on the island.
This giveaway is open for those in the community aged 50 and over while supplies last.
We would like to thank The Department of Energy for supplying Age Concern with these LED light bulbs to supply the ageing population.
