Age Concern Bermuda Seeking for Board and Committee Members

Age Concern Bermuda (ACB) is currently seeking to recruit six (6) Board of Directors and/or Board Committee
Members to ensure we have the capacity and skills to oversee our next phase in achieving our goals as we implement our new strategic plan 2023-2026.

A spokesperson of ACB – Registered Charity #137 – said, “The mission of ACB is to promote the quality of life and
advance the rights and opportunities adults aged 50 and above in Bermuda.

We currently have more than 5000
affiliate members within ACB who can be involved in various programs such as educational sessions, referral
services and hardship support.” Through ACB’s new strategic plan, we look to foster a community of inclusion,
partner with organizations and break the silence for older adults within our community.

ACB are inviting applicants that are engaged community members who are interested in serving a minimum of a
three (3) year term dedicating 3-4 hours monthly volunteering their time and expertise. Board of Directors and Board
Committee members are focused on ensuring sustainability and the highest standards of governance.

We are seeking to recruit individuals who have a range of skills and experience, knowledge and leadership skills in the following areas: Treasurer – Experience of charity finance and fund accounting; Compliance – Ensure that ABC is conducting its business in full compliance of governance, Fund Development – Fundraising on all levels through planning, organizing and implementation; Community Engagement – Facilitate supportive working partnerships with
community partners and stakeholders.
