Duo Allegedly Involved in Shaggy Raft-Up Charged in Magistrate’s Court

This morning in Magistrate’s Court, 40-year-old Selange Gitschner and 43-year-old Matthew Strong pleaded not guilty to failing to take all reasonable steps to maintain appropriate physical distancing and not wearing a mask when one was required on June 8 of last year.

The couple, both from Warwick, also pleaded not guilty to aiding and procuring Orville Burrell ( more commonly known by his stage name Shaggy) in that he, having traveled to Bermuda on June 8 of last year, did not quarantine until he received his negative COVID-19 arrival test result.

The Worshipful Magistrate Craig Attridge adjourned the case until Wednesday, March 23 and released the pair on $2500 bail each until that time.
