Fake News As Charles Richardson Dispels ICU Myth

A rumor circulating throughout the community that defense lawyer Charles Richardson has been fighting for his life in the hospital’s ICU as a result of contracting COVID-19 is just a false rumor. TNN’s Trevor Lindsay spoke with Mr. Richardson who dispelled the myth.

“ I’m flabbergasted that a rumor like that even got out there,” he said. “ I have not been ill and I definitely have not been in the ICU, so I do not know how that happened.”

In Mr. Richardson’s opinion, some Bermudians have a tendency to fill in the blanks of a story and reach their own conclusion, as a client whom he has been representing was in an infected area of Westgate, but Mr. Richardson himself was never infected and his most recent test last week confirmed that he is negative. In fact, he is currently working from home like most of the island.

“ People have to be careful, because it can have quite a devastating effect on your psyche to wake up and essentially watch your own funeral,” he said.
