Staff Shortage Impacting Garbage Collection

The Ministry of Public Works advises that staffing shortages may impact garbage collection over the next few weeks.

Residential waste collection will continue; however, it is impossible to guarantee service every day under the current conditions.

Depending on the staffing level on a given day, it will be challenging to maintain services, which may result in some residential garbage going uncollected.

Should this occur, the Ministry will advise the public and do its utmost to restore regular residential collection as soon as possible.
As a reminder, household garbage may be delivered to the Tynes Bay Waste to Energy Facility, which is open daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to thank the public for their patience and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience.
