Iconic Runner Sentenced to 6 Months in Prison

Iconic local runner Lamont Marshall was sentenced in Magistrate’s Court this morning for driving a motor vehicle while being disqualified by the Court to do so, driving the aforementioned vehicle while impaired by alcohol or another drug and refusing to comply with a police officer’s demand to provide a sample of breath analysis without a reasonable excuse.

All of the above offenses occurred on Thursday, April 1 in Paget and Pembroke parishes respectively.

Taking everything into account, the Worshipful Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe sentenced the 37-year-old Devonshire resident to two six-month sentences to run concurrently at the Westgate Correctional Facility, also a $5000 fine and a total of five years off of the road for all vehicles.
