The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 56-year-old Marvin Lambe and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Mr. Lambe – believed to be a Smith’s parish resident – was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding east on North Shore Road collided with the back of a car (also being driven east on North Shore Road), that had stopped to allow a man and woman to cross the pedestrian crossing near The Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo in Hamilton parish around 5:30pm Tuesday, 4th May.
Despite lifesaving efforts at the crash site and being rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, sadly Mr. Lambe was later pronounced dead.
The two pedestrians struck by the motorcycle, said to be a 53-year-old Devonshire man and a 27-year-old Hamilton parish woman, were treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries and later discharged.
The driver of the car, said to be a 38-year-old Hamilton parish woman, was not hurt.
An investigation regarding the circumstances of the third road fatality of the year continues.
Any witnesses that have not already come forward are now asked to call the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788 as soon as possible.
