Bellwood man killed, 6 others wounded in city shootings since Friday night, police say.

A 31-year-old man was fatally wounded Friday night on the West Side, and at least six other men were injured in city shootings, Chicago police said.

The fatal attack happened around 10:15 p.m. in the South Austin neighborhood in the first block of North Menard Avenue on the West Side.

Eujon Eversley was standing between two buildings in a gangway when someone opened fire, striking him multiple times in the body and head, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Eversley, of Bellwood, was pronounced dead at 10:26 p.m. on the scene, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy is planned for Saturday.

The latest shooting happened about 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of North Western Avenue in the West Town neighborhood, police said.

A 28-year-old man was shot while he was a passenger in a vehicle. The man said he heard about five to six gunshots, then felt pain. He suffered a graze wound to the left side of the chest and was taken to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, where he was listed in good condition, police said..

Shortly before 1:45 a.m., a 43-year-old man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood in the 5600 block of South Hermitage Avenue.

Police said the man was walking when he heard shots and felt pain. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with a wound to the torso and listed in good condition.
