TNN has been reliably informed that a senior member of the Judiciary has been suspended, following allegations that they presided over a matter in which they would have been conflicted.
The purported conflict was highlighted by a complainant in a matter in which the accused was alleged to have been linked to someone well known to the member of the bench.
It is understood the matter is under investigation, but the conditions attached to the suspension remain unclear at this time.
We have reached out to Chief Justice Larry Mussenden and the Supreme Court Registrar for comment, in response TNN inquiries has been forwarded to Her Excellency for her consideration.
