Teenager in ICU after stabbing incident in Hamilton Parish

A 18 year old man is in KEMH hospital ICU after an altercation at a residence in the Crawl Hamilton Parish area. A police spokesman released details to TNN News on this Breaking story.

Around 5:35 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, police and other first responders were dispatched to a Hamilton Parish residence, following reports that a male had been injured during an alleged altercation with another male at that location.

Upon arrival, Ambulance personnel immediately commenced treatment on the victim, an 18-year-old male, who was found lying outside the residence in an unresponsive state, with an apparent stab wound.

He was subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where at last check, he continued to receive treatment for his injuries which are considered life threatening.

An investigation into this matter has begun and a 17-year-old male suspect, is now in custody after having surrendered to police.

The investigation remains ongoing and eyewitnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Unit on 247-1744.
