Around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, police executed a warrant at a Pembroke residence, as part of an ongoing investigation.
During the operation, officers recovered a firearm and ammunition.
A 23-year-old male occupant was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Detective Chief Inspector Derricka Burns who is in charge of the Serious Crime Unit, spoke about this significant development,
“This is the second firearm taken off the streets in recent weeks. These seizures highlight our continued efforts to prevent illegal firearms from endangering our communities. These weapons pose a serious risk to public safety and are often linked to serious crimes.”
