2021 Butterfield Bermuda Championship Tee Shots from Thursday

The first round of the 2021 Butterfield Bermuda Championship will continue Friday morning as the round was suspended due to darkness at 6:34 p.m. at Port Royal Golf Course, Southampton.

Pretty in Pink, Part Deux

Pink Day continues into Friday and guests are encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Funds raised through Championship initiatives will be donated to Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre and matched by the Butterfield Bermuda Championship Birdies for Charity programme. Leaders in the clubhouse

Brandon Hagy and Chad Ramey lead by one stroke after an opening round of -6, 65. Vincent Whaley is one shot back at -5 with one hole to play in the morning. Danny Lee, Garrick Higgo, Seamus Power, Kiradech Aphibarnrat and David Skinns are finished at -4, 67, with Justin Lower at -4 with one hole to play.

Defending Butterfield Bermuda Championship winner Brian Gay opened his title defense with an opening round of +4, 75.

Michael Sims is the top Bermudian in the field today, shooting E through 15 holes. Amateur Damian Palanyandi ended the day at +5, 76, tied with fellow countryman Chaka DeSilva who has one hole to play. Camiko Smith finished at +9, 73, and Brian posted an opening round +5, 76. Brian Morris is at +15 with four holes to play.

Tickets are Sold Out, No Tickets Available at the Gate
The tournament is officially sold out. All spectators, regardless of age, must have a ticket to access the grounds of Port Royal Golf Course. There are no tickets sold at the gate.

SafeKey for Entry

The public is reminded that the Butterfield Bermuda Championship is operating as a SafeKey event. All spectators 2 years of age and older should be prepared to provide proof of SafeKey and a valid government-issued ID for entry. To reduce wait time and queues, have both the SafeKey, either printed or open on a mobile device, and identification in hand. It is the responsibility of spectators to ensure they have a valid SafeKey downloaded or printed before arrival. Clear Bag Policy in Effect

Certain items are restricted at PGA TOUR events, such as large bags and backpacks. Bags and purses must be smaller than 6” x 6”. Clear bags measuring 12” x 6” x 12” or less will be permitted. Please note, the tournament does not provide a “bag check” facility so plan accordingly.
