A 18 year old Warwick parish man was charged in Magistrate Court with the murder today.
Dahny Simmons-Outerbridge was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offenses.
Senior Magistrate the Worshipful Maxanne Anderson read the charges to the accused,
(1) On the 24th day of May 2024, in the Islands of Bermuda, did unlawfully kill Zijae Jones.
(2) In an increased penalty zone, unlawfully had with you in a public place an article with a blade, namely a knife.
Outerbridge was bailed to the sum of $50, thousand dollars and like surety, he is also under a 24 hour house arrest, Outerbridge must be fitted with an Electronic Monitoring Device (EMD) and he must not have any contact with any witnesses.
Dahny Simmons-Outerbridge will next appear on July 1, 2024 Supreme Court monthly arraignment session.
