The BPS continue to investigate the tragic loss of life of a young girl following a road traffic collision today on South Road Southampton.
TNN’s Trevor Lindsay speaking with the BPS Commission Steven Corbishley releasing a statement, “ BPS liaison officer has been appointed to support the family as this difficult time. It is every family’s nightmare to lose a loved one, especially one so young, so suddenly and in such tragic circumstances and our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
At a point over the next couple of days we will announce more details but we ask anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police on 211 as soon as possible so we can understand the full circumstances that took place.
Furthermore I will be discussing with partners what more work we need to do to reduce such incidents given the continuing situation that Bermuda faces in regards to road users suffering serious injury or, as in this case, losing their life.
